up north: palaui island and anguib beach

White sand. Nice view. Nature. Travel. Swimming. What place comes to your mind? Is it Boracay? Puerto Galera? Palawan? Camiguin? Bantayan? Bohol? Dakak? Have you noticed that all of them are in southern part of the Philippines?

How about going somewhere north? There's Potipot Island or Capones Island in Zambales, Casiguran in Aurora, and Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte to name a few.

And if you are willing to travel farther that is not far as Batanes, you might want to go to Palaui Island and Anguib Beach in Cagayan...

This will be a very long travel from Manila but you also have the option to fly by plane going to Tuguegarao and then take a van going to the town of Santa Ana.

You'll pass by this church on your long trip going to Sta. Ana, Cagayan. It will be a 3-hour travel from Tuguegarao City before you reach this little Boracay of the north.

On our way to Palaui Island, we passed by Crocodile Island which name came from its shape.
.

From Palaui Island, we then went to the little Boracay of the north - Anguib Beach. The place is really beautiful with its mountain view and fine white sand except that there are dried leaves/weeds on water that you have to find an area where you can swim. I hope they could maintain the place and get rid of the dried leaves so people can appreaciate its beauty and enjoy the water.

Until then! :)
