Monasteryo de Tarlac

“You are not here by coincident. You are here because you are called by God.” – Officiating Priest in the Mass

Our plan is just to go and eat lunch at Isdaan in Gerona, Tarlac. But while talking about the plan with tatay, ate, and Jan Ray, they suggested that we also go to a monastery where the relic of the True Cross of Jesus is kept.  And since Monasteryo de Tarlac is just near it, we opted to visit the place first and attend the mass then go to Isdaan afterwards...

The monastery is located at the top of the mountain in Mt. Resurrection Eco Park in Brgy. Lubigan, San Jose, Tarlac. From Santa Rosa, Nueva Ecija, it’s just a 2-hour travel by land.
The view on the way up to the mountain is beautiful, lots of greens, trees, and fresh air. While looking at the sight, we had a thought on why people keep on living in a polluted and populated cities when there are places that are clean, beautiful, and peaceful like this. Oh well, that’s their choice. We, too, live in a city. Hehe.
Okay, let’s get back to the topic...
So, we arrived at the Monastery at 10:30am, just in time for the mass, but too late to have a decent chair so we can sit and not have our legs get tired of standing for more than 2 hours. Yes, the mass took more than an hour and the queue of people who wanted to see and touch the relic is too long that it will take you another hour to be given a chance to touch it.
This is not the church where the mass is held.
On its side, obviously, is where the mass is being held.
Ooopss... better hurry or we’ll be late.
After the mass, everyone is given a chance to touch the relic of the cross. It is believed to do miracles and heal burdens no wonder why there are so many people are coming here.
This is were the relic of the True Cross of Jesus is kept.
After all of us had our turn, with beliefs that our hopes and wishes will be granted, we then had what else? The eco park is so inviting that you wouldn’t want to miss taking picturesssssssssss.

So if it is not by coincident, what is the reason why we were called by Him last Sunday? Maybe, it is to heal us? To bond us? To give strength and health? To bring forgiveness and happiness in our hearts? Or He called us to be closer to Him? I think all of those.
By the way, we think this is also a great place to go biking. We met lots of bikers on our way going up to the mountain.
Until then!

Oh really? Let's go biking! We hope to bike the road going there. But it is pretty steep so we need to exercise our muscles to be prepared for it. And we think we need a lot of that. haha!
